PLEASE Pray for my husband. He is overwhelmed with shame for his past actions, the looming shadow of yet ANOTHER job loss (he was supposed to be hired but now they are saying it might not happen and unemployment will not be enough). Believes God hates him, and will never forgive him. He always has thoughts that he is a loser, that no one cares about him , etc. He has gone so far as to tell himself he would end is life by a certain date if nothing changed. The problem is that he is so deep in these negative thoughts that even when things are going well he is depressed. It doesn’t help that we argued again last night (he is “Liberal” on many issues and won’t stop bringing them up. I try not to argue but sometimes I fall for the “bait” and speak my mind which causes fights). Unfortunately, I had a thought in my mind last night about something he had done in the past, and it came out. I told him later that I forgave him a long time ago and was really sorry I mentioned it... but today, finding out he might not get to keep his job even though he had been told he would, combined with shame and grief over pretty much everything he has ever done wrong and more...he is so basically overwhelmed and talking again about wanting to be dead. I believe God will intervene, but my husband is not really a true believer and has no faith that God loves him or is there for him. I need, HE needs, your prayers.
PLEASE pray he won’t hurt himself. Pray he will get to keep his job, and pray that God will somehow save him for real & transform his thought life, his view of himself, everything. I am desperate for my husband to have a “Doubting Thomas” proof of God, or a “Road to Damascus” turn around...He NEEDS a miracle!
