Time-Crunch Workout

Life is busy, and when something unexpected pops up, sometimes the first thing to go is your workout. Oftentimes you may think if you don’t get a full hour of exercise, it won’t be effective. But that’s not true at all. A shorter 20-30 minute workout can be just as effective.

I don’t have the time to dedicate to working out like I did when I first started my healthy lifestyle. I’m not making excuses, but this is just a season I’m in right now. I still want to make sure that working out is a priority, so on those days that I don’t have much time, I use this go-to workout that I can do at the gym or even in my own home with a couple hand weights.

Try to go through these without stopping if you need a break stop for 5 seconds and start again.

 

WARMUP

 

  1. 20 jumping jacks
  2. Stretch (whatever feels good for you)

 

CIRCUIT #1

 

  1. Push-ups – Regular / On Your Knees (30 seconds)
  2. Squat and Press (1 minute)

 

Repeat both exercises.

  1. Jumping Jacks (30 seconds)
  2. Jump Rope (30 seconds)

 

Repeat both exercises.

  1. Basic Crunch (30 seconds)
  2. Reverse Crunch (30 seconds)

 

CIRCUIT #2

  1. Dumbbell Row (30 seconds)
  2. Lunge with Bicep Curl (1 minute)

 

Repeat both exercises.

  1. Butt Kicks (30 seconds)
  2. Punches (30 seconds)

 

Repeat both exercises.

  1. Crossed Leg Crunch Right Leg (30 seconds)
  2. Crossed Leg Crunch Left Leg (30 seconds)

 

CIRCUIT #3

  1. Chest Fly’s (30 seconds)
  2. Anterior Raises with a Side Lunge Right Leg (1 minute)
  3. Anterior Raises with a Side Lunge Left Leg (1 minute)
  4. Jumping Jacks (30 seconds)
  5. Butt Kicks (30 seconds)
  6. Punches (30 seconds)
  7. Bicycle Crunches (1 minute)

 

COOL DOWN & STRETCH

 

This is all about working smarter and not harder with your workouts.
